Months and months of planning; looking at venues, talking with vendors and mapping out every detail for the "big day"… but COVID had different plans for many of our 2020 & 2021 couples. We’re big believers of finding the silver lining, and we’re prettttty sure Angelina & Josh found theirs through all of the pandemic crazines. Instead of the traditional 200+ person wedding they had been planning for over a year, they decided to dive in and start their lives together, and we are over the moon for them as they begin this new chapter! Take a peek at their engagement shoot, which took place on Josh’s magical family property, and see what they had to share about being a COVID couple, their love story and plans for the future.
Q: Tell us the story of how you met!
A: "Very cliché, but we met at a bar through mutual friends. It was not love at first sight for me lol. I thought he was a jerk, but now I know he was just nervous /showing off."
Q: What's your ideal date night together?
A: "At home watching a good show."
Q: When did you know you wanted to spend the rest of your lives together?
A: "I’m not sure when I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, but I very distinctly remember when I knew I loved him. We went to a Bills game and on the drive there he told me his entire moms side of the family was going to be there. Naturally, internally I freaked out because I had no idea they were going to be there and I didn’t know if I was ready to meet EVERYONE. But it ended up being great and I remember thinking 'I love this kid’."
Q: What are you looking forward to most in your future together?
A: “Building our dream life + starting a family."
Q: Tell us about the proposal!
A: “He proposed at our annual clam bake. His dad was thanking everyone for coming (also getting everyone’s attention for what was about to happen). I was telling everyone I made Jell-O shots as Josh was behind me on his knee. When I realized what was happening I started sobbing lol."
Q: Tell us about your wedding day.
A: "Well, we were a COVID couple, so our stunning 220 person wedding at the Wintergarden was canceled. We ended up closing on our new house 3 days before our wedding date and decided to get married at our new house in our living room. It was perfect."
Congratulations to Angelina & Josh on tying the knot and on their new home!! We can’t wait to see all the love that grows there, and to do a beautiful styled shoot for them in lieu of their wedding day photos — even more opportunity to make some real magic without the time constraints of a wedding ceremony / reception. Cheers!!
