This suburban photographer traveled out to the big city of Chicago for this family’s lfestyle newborn session. I love being so close to a major city while still being far enough away to get away from the traffic and congestion. Rarely do I get to leave my bubble but something about the big windows and high-rise loft style condos gives the perfect sunlight for these sessions.

Mom and dad were over the moon for their new little guy and wore perfectly coordinated outfits. I always recommend not to be too catchy-matchy, rather wearing tones that compliment skin tones and eyes and each other as well.

These windows were so perfect for letting in the morning sunshine and brightening the room. Being a natural light photographer, windows with diffusing sheer curtains like this make the perfect backdrop for your family portraits indoors.

Being in the suburbs of Chicago allow me to be able to travel to clients all over the area. Naperville is a nice bubble but it’s fun to get out and explore a bit once in a while.
