For so many seniors, covid has completely destroyed their last year of high school.
I made sure that this session for this gorgeous high school senior was nothing short of fun and memorable.
Her mom had scheduled her session back in the fall before Covid was even being talked about.
After months of waiting for not only it to be allowed back outside as well our our wonderfully unpredictable Chicago spring weather, we masked up and got to it!
Being that this senior and her family are neighbors, we thought that this beautiful and iconic red barn that’s located practically in our backyards would be perfect. I love the pop of red that it gives as well as the rustic appeal they were hoping to achieve.
Oh the cap and gown photos! These sessions are definitely NOTHING like the senior photos we had available to us in the early 2000s! I remember mine were on a black backdrop with that classic hands under the chin, propped up on the elbows while gazing off into space. ::shudders:: These kids have no idea!
Finally, we ABSOLUTELY had to end the session with her throwing her cap up into the air. With all of the amazing achievements she had throughout her 4 years of high school here in Naperville, it was only proper to have this moment captured, even with Covid taking away so many happy memories.
If you or someone you know has a high school senior or even a junior, share my contact page with them. I’m currently booking spring and summer sessions and senior portraits are high on the list this year!
