Anna and Jonathan had a beautiful spring evening wedding at The Gatehouse in Baton Rouge. It’s no secret that The Gatehouse is one of my favorite wedding venues in Baton Rouge to photograph. I’m totally biased and not afraid to admit it. I had my own spring wedding there many years ago.
Anna and Jonathan chose to include bright beautiful colors like blue, red, and yellow for their wedding. There were lots of red roses and sunflowers to be found. Anna’s dress and accessories were chosen because she wanted to look like a beautiful princess on her wedding day. I think she nailed it because together Anna and Jonathan looked like the top of a weding cake.
They had a very sweet ceremony where they lit a unity candle to represent their new journey together. During the reception Anna and her sisters brought up their dad to do the chicken dance together. It was something he did at the mall to embarrass them when they were little. It was their turn to embrass him. He was such a good sport and joined in on the dance. Moments like that are what Anna and Jonathan will treasure for years to come from their wedding day.
Take a look below at some of my favorites from Anna and Jonathan’s wedding day.
I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos from Anna and Jonathan’s evening wedding at The Gatehouse in Baton Rouge. I wish the happy couple all the best on their new journey together.
