I knew when Marley’s mom and I spoke on the phone for the first time that we would hit it off. I see a lot of my younger self in Marley from demeanor to extracurricular interests. Marley and I first met for her Style Consultation a few weeks ahead of her portrait session. She really wanted to incorporate her love of softball as it has been a huge part of her life especially in high school. Marley also wanted a beautiful field look to round out her senior portrait session.
Marley opted for her Pine Richland softball jersey; though she also had a very cool travel league one that we could have used. The PR jersey was so cohesive with the dugout we used- talk about a perfect match.
After we finished the softball portraits, we stayed nearby to complete another look in the blue striped top and then headed for my favorite field in North Park. The simple white dress did not disappoint; a clean, timeless look- something I am known for. If you look closely, you may see a few raindrops in one of the photos thanks to a pop up shower. It only lasted about 5 minutes; unexpected but fun as we were able to take cover immediately. You’ll notice a rose top that was the pop of color Marley’s wardrobe needed for a well rounded gallery of images from which to select. Gorgeous color is something I love to recommend to clients for one of their outfit choices. It standouts out and makes a statement image. I will send every client a “What to Wear Guide” that will recommend colors based on your skintone and eye color. It is a great guide for my seniors to reference not only for their portrait session but for the future when selecting clothing for their wardrobe.
Marley is going to school next year at Slippery Rock; staying with the green and black theme for schools. :)
