Hey everyone! It's a new year, so I thought I'd take a moment again to say "hi!" I'm Carrie Geno, the artist and soul of Geno Photography. I wear many caps in this crazy whirlwind that is wedding photography and business ownership, as well as few more at home as a wife and mother. I'm pretty much a one-woman show for Geno Photography, though I do have some AMAZING assistant photographers and a fantastic videographer who work with me on wedding days.
But enough about business! This post is to help you get to know me a little better. Where to start? Hmmm...
Well, a few quirky things about me are:
If I'm not at a meeting or photographing something, you'll probably find me in yoga pants and a comfy top with my hair in a ponytail or messy bun with a cup of coffee or tea close at hand. I spend a lot of time at the computer and like to be comfy. If I'm not at the computer, a meeting, or photographing something, you'll probably find me in yoga pants and a comfy top with my hair in a ponytail or messy bun. Ha! I started working out regularly about two years ago. It is an amazing stress reliever! I really miss going to the gym, but weights at home and running during warmer weather will work for now.
I'm 1000% that person who uses WAY TOO MANY exclamation marks in all of my emails and notes. And you know what? I'm totally ok with that!! I am really excited and enthusiastic about my work! So, if you get any emails from me and they contain nothing but exclamation marks, just know I'm super stoked about your wedding and/or portraits!!
I love listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks! I love reading the books too, but Jim Dale does such a fantastic job reading them. My kids and I have listened to them I'm not even sure how many times. Perfect for long car trips when we travel!
I adore my family and love exploring the world with them! We have been blessed to have had many travels, both domestic and abroad. You can hear more about our travels here!
I talk to my cat and she listens. Sounds super weird, I know! But Rose is a smart cat, and and I swear she understands English. I will spare you any stories right now, but if you ever want some I'm happy to share!
I may have a mild obsession with the sweet potato fries at Kalona Brewing Company. I love that restaurant anyway, but their sweet potato fries make me so happy. Mmmm.... Seriously, if you're ever in the Kalona area, you need to check out the Brewery!! Love it all!
Well, I think about sums up my big quirks! I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better! Thanks for stopping by!
