Never in my career have I seen a more carefully orchastrated wedding with intentionality in every detail. This is Michelle and Garry. Their thoughtfulness and love for each other as well as their friends and family is overwhelming. They waited 12 years to come back to each other and eventhough, they sometimes thing they could have cut out those years inbetween and just got together, they know it was all part of God’s plan for them. What a joy to see them get married! They weren’t going to let anything stop them from having the perfect day and celebrating with the people they love.
For me, the day started perfectly. After Garry and Michelle got to see each other for the first time in the woods at Camp Hale, we took a jeep ride to the very top of the mountain. It was wonderful! They had all the time to soak in their surroundings, remenise about what brought them together and be together. When we got to the very top and looked out upon the mountain tops there was no question of God’s wonder. They took in deep breaths together and celebrated as well as reveled in the moments together. As we came back down the mountain to join their friends and family they were in go mode. On the top of that mountain all the planning melted away and they realized they were here, together, getting married.
The day followed suit. Studded by incredible musicians, vocalists, big bands, trios, and violenist the soundtrack was inspiring. There was no dancing but it was not missed as they had so many other fun things. There was archery, fly fishing, a comedian and a whole slew of toasts from their favorite people. I couldn’t tell if my stomach hurt more from all the laughing or if my eyes hurt more from all the crying.
This was a momentous occasion, well celebrated by all who love Michelle and Garry. I am so glad to have been a part of it and overjoyed that they found each other.
Congratulations!
