This lovely family was so awesome and were troopers during the unpredictable weather on their session day. Despite a reschedule, the weather still proved to not be in our favor, but everyone rolled with it and it was great! What I’ve learned over the years is that we can’t get stressed over something we can’t control. For instance, Minnesota weather! You can dream and hope for what you want the weather to look like during your session, but if it doesn’t I promise you we are still going to capture sweet memories.

Danielle went through my motherhood experience and I’m so glad she did! The whole purpose of my process is to create an experience that is stress-free and to deliver beautiful artwork at the end. I understand all the work that goes into shopping for outfits with kids in tow, not to mention the possible returns. On session day you’re trying to get your hair and makeup done, but then there’s the kids and dad who need assistance. By the end of it all, it just seems more stressful than enjoyable.

A few weeks before the session, I had a planning and wardrobe call with Danielle. We discussed all the details. Danielle chose a beautiful, long, champagne velvet dress from Baltic Born (one of my favorite boutiques). From there I sent over outfit coordination ideas and on session day, everyone looked amazing! A few hours before the session, my incredible hair/makeup gal came all the way to Danielle’s house to do her hair/makeup. We love Kelsey from Pure Beauty! How does that sound?? Getting all glammed up in the comfort of your own home!

We met at Arneson Acres in Edina and amongst the drizzle, we captured some really precious memories. The girls looked absolutely adorable and I couldn't get over their coordinating outfits! A few weeks after the session, we set up an artwork appointment where Danielle got all the digital images, plus a beautiful wood frame for the office!

I absolutely cherish my families and the work I get to do for them. The Motherhood Experience is so special to me, because I care about so much more than just the session itself.
