Chris & Lisa's Radiant Wedding Journey

When I first met Lisa and Chris, I was immediately struck by their positive vibes and infectious energy. They were anything but shy in front of the camera, making my job as their wedding photographer a true pleasure. During our initial consultation, we hit it off right away, discovering we had plenty to talk about. Their decision to book me ensured they secured the best experience I could offer.

We discussed a pre-wedding shoot in Melbourne, Australia, during the peak of wedding season. Fortunately, I had other couple shoots lined up in Melbourne, making it the perfect opportunity to catch up in person. Until then, we had only met through Zoom, so meeting them face-to-face was fantastic. We explored Melbourne’s CBD, capturing stunning shots at some of the city’s most iconic locations.

On their wedding day, the excitement was palpable from the start. It was a full-on day, beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting until 10 p.m. The celebration kicked off with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, but not before some hilarious door-knocking games. Watching the groomsmen get “pwned” by the bridesmaids was a highlight, especially during the Pocky stick challenge that had the guys hilariously touching lips.

The tea ceremony that followed was a touching moment, filled with emotions as both sets of parents participated. Lisa and Chris’s wedding celebration took place at Kauri Bay Boomrock, nestled in Clevedon, Auckland. This stunning private 500-acre property offers expansive coastal views over the Hauraki Gulf, providing the perfect backdrop for their special day. Weather was just perfect! Autumn leaves bright yellow, golden hour moments and lastly they got Astro Milkyway too!! how lucky!!

The ceremony and reception were beautiful, with family and friends gathering to celebrate. The drinks flowed freely, adding to the joyous atmosphere.
