How important do you think styling is regarding photo shoots and why?

It's CRUCIAL! It's the cherry on top that helps accentuate personalities, compliment landscapes and scenery, and tell the story with movement and textures and color!

What is your favorite 'go to' prompt you use to illicit natural connection with your clients?

This is mostly dependent on the questionnaire they fill out for me and their family dynamic! But I always encourage tender cuddling!

If you could only own one lens, which would it be and why?

I recently got the mirrorless 28-70 and I LOVE IT! Gives me so much flexiblity and depth!

As a Style & Select member what ways do you incorporate it into your workflow (example: at the beginning of your correspondence, allow clients to get into the results on their own, etc)

As soon as my clients book and fill out their questionnaire, I get to work creating THREE style boards for them so they can visualize and start ordering pieces they may need!

If you have a client closet, what is a piece of advice for a photographer wanting to start a client closet on a budget?

Buy pieces that can be styled SEVERAL different ways! So buy mostly solid earthy tones, and then the clients can add the prints and textures!

What is something you wish your clients wouldn't wear to a session (ie. jeans, tennis shoes, a certain color)

Bright colors! I know that sounds weird since my color is very colorful, but earthy tones of the same colors photograph SO MUCH BETTER, than their bright (glowing/neon) counterparts!

What is something you do to get you out of a creative rut?

CREATIVE MODEL CALLS! They are such a great opportunity to engage in a stress free, creative environment where you can slow down and embrace the beauty of the moment!

There are a lot of photographers out in the world, how do think you set yourself apart to bring the best outcome to your clients experience?

Offering a full service experience! Styling of course is a huge part of that, but also extensive client communication, LOCATION scouting for unique spots (very important to me), and over-delivering on everything I offer...always going above and beyond!
